For all of this week I have been away sick, well, apart from Wednesday. Today I am writing my blog and if I have time I will do some more drawings. On my second day of being sick I did some more drawings to pass time. I finished all of my title pages and headings and information about the dresses/clothes. I also finished off colouring the pair of boots I did. On one dress I added some sparkles with a lip gloss but when I closed the book, it smudged the drawings on both pages. I rubbed it out and coloured over it. It turned out alright. The blue dress now has a bit of brown in it now though. I also did two more dresses and I really liked them. I put a piece of tissue between a few pages so they wouldn't smudge and it actually did help. This week I did three new drawings. I borrowed a book from the library called The Time Travelling Fashionistas on Board the Titanic by Bianca Turetsky for some inspiration. It got me inspired so I started a new theme called, Inspired by the Book, The Time Travelling Fashionistas on Board the Titanic by Bianca Turetsky. The book is based in 1912, when The Titanic sank. For my first drawing I layered heaps of different colours on top of one another with the advise of Jemma. After I did the first one I realised that the face looked like a man. I also realised that it took too long to do all the body parts. For my second drawing, I did it on a coat hanger and it looked way better. It was also alot quicker to do. On the next page, I did a huge pair of brown leather boots. This week I was away on Monday so I missed out on a day of 20% Time. On Tuesday I forgot to bring my portfolio in so instead I am writing my blog entry for the week. I am also roughly sketching some ideas on paper and am going to do them tonight for homework. Also, instead of just drawing the person wearing the dress, I am gong to add accessories all around the person like a proper design portfolio. This week I finished the era 1920s. I am just starting 1930s and expanding the portfolio. I have found two really good websites. One that teaches you how to draw the models wearing the clothes step by step. The other one has all differnet clothes in all different eras. I spoke to Ms Christie very briefly. She says I'm going great and that it's good I have no questions. 22.7.14
This week we started 20% Time. We got to choose whatever subject we wanted. I chose to do fashion design. I am making a design portfolio with all different themes and eras. I have done two designs in the 1920s so far. They take a while to draw because I haven't really drawn anything like this before. I am learning how to draw the models on which you draw the clothes. I talked to Ms Christie and she said I'm doing well. If I have enough time and I have finished my designs, I will make a website and scan my designs onto the computer. It was the night of Easter. The Easter Bunny had left with a straw basket full of chocolate eggs. He was hopping over to the next house, a little girl's called Isabelle when suddenly he dropped his basket!!! The eggs rolled onto the fall, some smashing and breaking open. The Bunny hit a button on his basket and little miniature people came out everywhere. They started repairing the eggs, all 135 of them. Once they were done the Easter Bunny hopped as fast as he could to Isabelle's house. He left a trail of eggs including one chocolate creme egg...
Dear World Leaders,
You MUST let Lucy go to school. It's unfair that she doesn't get the privilege to go to school just because she can't get there. If she doesn't get the education she deserves, it'll ruin her life! She won't know how to read or write and she won't get to grow up properly. She won't be able to do what she wants in life (become a teacher or a doctor). You're breaking the promise that you made to everyone. If you help Lucy, it'll certainly help others. Please, let her have the chance she deserves. Sincerely, Molly The murder happened on my birthday.
I had woken up and had headed downstairs. I looked down because I felt something beneath my foot. Because humans are small, the bee looked huge! I started panicking, thinking that I had killed it. I called Mum and Dad. They quickly changed into their FBI clothes and got the tools they needed. They took some photos and put them through a machine. It said that the bee had died last night. They got a fingerprint analysis. Dog paws! They had solved it. The dog had run up the stairs and killed the bee. |
